COMMITTEE
President Carole Harris 4294 8955
Secretary Mark Henderson 4294 8401
As this is the March Bulletin it will be my last as President, and, I must say after a very nervous start, it has been a most fulfilling time. My many thanks go to all the committee members, who without their help the President's job wouldn't run smooth. Thanks again.
My congratulations to our new President and the new committee, may their term of office be as enjoyable as mine.
Our guest speaker, Roger Johnson was just as entertaining as he was back in April 2004. We also wish to thank Peter Gallagher for offering himself as our club representative for Roger to show us his hypnosis magic. I hear Peter isn't quite as relaxed as he was afterwards (something about talking to Beatrice) but I know this can't be true?
I couldn't finish this report without nagging just one more time "WEAR YOUR BADGE" - wear your badge with pride!!
Yours in friendship, fun and fellowship
Carole Harris

Shirts should be available to be payed and picked up prior to March meeting.
Why is it that trees attract golf balls, and the lovely newly mowed greens seem to repel them???
If any member is thinking of having a go at golf please let me know - you will get plenty of support.

How often do we drive from point A to point B and wonder what lies beyond our line of vision? This walk provides a totally different perspective to Cammeray Bridge.
We alight from the bus and commence our walk back across the bridge and down through suburban streets to Salt Pan Creek. The flat walk acrosss the sporting fields created in 1950 at Tunks Park leads us upstream following Flat Rock Creek, home to mullet, long finned eels, long necked turtles and frogs. The track crosses the creek on large stepping stones and our turning point is only 300 metres away. For those who enjoy ascending/descending bush steps the track leads UP and eventually crosses the creek and follows Dawsons Track back DOWN to the water course and flat rocks. (Half hour extendion-great for the calf muscles). We will not attempt this circular section - due to lack of time, not muscle! Its time to back track to the large stepping stones, "collect those of little balance" and cntinue back to Tunks Park to admore the aerial view of Cammeray Bridge. Rebuilt in 1939, the quirky castle tower at each end are all that remains of this former suspension bridge originally contructed in 1892. The morning ends with a gradual 1/4km walk back up to the main road to await the bus and short journey back to North Sydney Leagues Club for the usual "refreshments".
Reminder: Hat Water Sunscreen please!!
