PRESIDENTS REPORT

We certainly were able to fit a lot into July. The Pacific Cruise, Christmas in July luncheon, Sutherland concert and finishing off with some 80 or so members and friends attending Roger Johnstone Hypnotic extravaganza.

Many thanks to the Worker's Club for agreeing to us getting access to our meeting room at 10am (for monthly meeting at 10.30am). This is on the firm understanding that the club bar area is "out of bounds" until the club's normal opening time of 11am.

Arrangements have been made with the bistro for those of our members who wish to pre-order lunch to do so at our morning tea time. When ordering, the meal is to be paid for and time required advised. eg 12.15 - 12.30 - 12.45 etc.

Cheers for now.                                                                           Barry Mellier

Golf

August golf day will be held at Georges River course on Friday 13th . There is a licensed clubhouse where I encourage all players to retreat to after the game to catch up with what unfolded on the day.

Winner at Calderwood Valley was Peter Jackson with Jim Hill runner up.

Enjoy your golf

Golf Clinics

There will be an activity sheet for another one of Carly Warn's popular clinics which will focus on a particular aspect of the game.

If any member is thinking of having a go at golf please let me know - you will get plenty of support.

July Foot and Mount Walk:

23 members set off for our Parramatta walk after a very foggy start to the morning. However, the sun came out and we were able to enjoy a wonderful day. We strolled and chatted and studied the history plaques of the early days of settlement. Our leisurely walk took us past the River Cat Terminal and continued along the Riverside Walk past the Justice Precinct and through Parramatta Park. A lot of wonderful plaques to read and look at. We stopped for a short time at the Information Centre before heading to Parramatta Leagues Club for lunch. A great day and again thank you Beatrice.
