PRESIDENT'S REPORT
We will be looking forward to celebrating our club's 8th Birthday at our February meeting. How quickly the years seem to pass!! It hardly seems that long ago that we were 25 and then 30 then 50 members. Our first coach trip was to Eden and this year some of us lucky ones are off to China ... not something I ever envisgaged doing with Probus.. and we are closing our books again. So Happy Birthday to all and particularly to our Foundation Members, it is thanks to them having a "go" that we have a club.
Our AGM is in March and unfortunately there are two important committee positions that have no nominations. Our Speaker Programme Organiser, Bob Scullion, has done this job for four years and has set up speakers until July 2012 to assist a new person settle in.
The other position is that of Catering Supervisor. I have broken this area up and the Supervisor's responsibilities are in the bulletin. Please contact me if further information is required or you would like to nominate.
Beatrice Gallagher President
NOMINATIONS FOR EXECUTIVE & COMMITTEE POSITIONS
All Management Committee positions expire at each Annual General Meeting which is held immediately after the "shortened" Club monthly meeting on Thursday 8th March 2012. Every Club member is entitled to stand for election for any of the Management Committee positions. There are nomination forms available on the front table at our February meeting which must be completed and returned to the Secretary no later than the close of the meeting. They can be lodged during the meeting but cannot be accepted after the chairperson has closed the meeting.
